Profile Social Marketing

SEO. PPC. CTR. ROAS. Digital marketing has accumulated enough acronyms to make even confident business owners feel out of their depth. For many small and growing businesses, the result is either paralysis or expensive decisions made without real understanding.

Fiona founded Profile to change that. The business exists to make digital marketing feel less like a specialist discipline requiring a translator and more like a practical, understandable part of running a business. The ambition was clear from the outset: demystify the landscape, speak plainly and help clients actually understand what's happening with their online presence.

The brand identity needed to carry that same sensibility.

The design challenge

Marketing agency branding sits in a crowded space, and much of it makes the same visual choices. Dark, techy palettes. Geometric logos that signal sophistication without warmth. Language and aesthetics that, ironically, reinforce the distance between agency and client.

Profile needed to go in a different direction without tipping into something so casual it undermined credibility. Approachable and professional aren't naturally in tension, but finding the right balance between them in a visual identity requires some care. The brand had to feel like someone you'd trust with your marketing budget — competent, considered, clear — while also feeling like someone you'd enjoy talking to.

The identity

The resulting brand reflects the founder's tone as much as the business's positioning. Modern without being cold. Friendly without being informal. The kind of identity that makes a prospective client feel like they've found the right person rather than the right agency.

Typography and colour were chosen to communicate openness and clarity — a visual language that mirrors what Profile promises its clients in practice. Nothing about the brand makes digital marketing feel more complicated than it needs to be, which is exactly the point.

The identity was designed to work consistently across the touchpoints a marketing business relies on — digital platforms, social presence and client-facing materials — giving Profile a coherent and professional appearance from day one.

Why it matters

A business founded on the principle of making something more human and accessible has to demonstrate that quality in everything it puts out — starting with its own brand. An identity that felt corporate or technical would have undermined the entire positioning before a conversation had begun.

Profile now has a brand that does what the business does: meets people where they are, communicates clearly and makes the prospect of working together feel straightforward rather than daunting.
