StudioCreates Design Ltd (“Studio Creates”, “we”, “our”, “us”) understands that your privacy is important to you and that you care about how your personal data is used. We respect and value the privacy of everyone we work with and will only collect and use personal data in ways that are described here, and in a way that is consistent with our obligations and your rights under the law.

2. What does this policy notice cover?
This notice explains how we collect, hold, and process your personal data, and sets out your rights in relation to it.
3. What Is Personal Data?
Personal data is any information relating to an identifiable person — someone who can be directly or indirectly identified from it. This includes obvious details like your name and contact information, as well as less obvious identifiers such as online identifiers or location data.
The personal data we collect is set out in Part 5 below.
4. What Are My Rights?
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), you have the following rights, which we will always work to uphold:
The right to be informed about our collection and use of your personal data. This notice covers most of it, but you're welcome to contact us for anything further.
The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
The right to rectification if any personal data we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete.
The right to erasure ("the right to be forgotten") — you can ask us to delete personal data we hold about you.
The right to restrict processing of your personal data.
The right to object to us using your personal data for a particular purpose.
The right to data portability, where the data was provided by you directly, is processed on the basis of consent or contract, and is processed by automated means.
The right to withdraw consent at any time, wherever we're relying on consent to use your data.
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Part 11. You can also raise concerns with the Information Commissioner's Office or your local Citizens Advice Bureau.
5. What Personal Data Do We Collect?
Depending on your relationship with us, we may collect:
Name
Email address
Address
Company name (if relevant)
Details you share with us about your business, brand, or project during enquiries and onboarding
This data is typically collected via the enquiry form on our website (served over SSL), by email, or through our onboarding process once we begin working together.
6. Why Do We Process Your Data, and What's Our Legal Basis?
We process your personal data to:
Respond to enquiries and discuss potential projects
Deliver our services — brand identity, visual systems, and website work — once we're engaged on a project
Contact you after a project has launched, as a courtesy check-in
Send you marketing communications, but only if you've opted in to our mailing list
For enquiries and project delivery, our legal basis is either the performance of a contract with you or our legitimate business interest in responding to prospective clients. For marketing communications, our legal basis is your consent — given when you sign up to our mailing list. You can withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us directly.
We will never sell your data or send unsolicited marketing, and we comply with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) in all our email communications.
7. How Long Do We Keep Your Data?
We don't keep personal data for longer than necessary:
Project and client data is kept for 2 years following project completion or sign-off, after which it is deleted.
Mailing list data is kept for as long as you remain subscribed, and deleted within a reasonable period after you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
8. How and Where Do We Store Your Data?
We take appropriate steps to keep your data secure, including encrypting data in digital storage. We don't hold physical/hard copies of your data.
Our website is hosted by Squarespace. Any information submitted through our website may be stored and processed on servers located outside the UK, in line with applicable data protection safeguards. You can read Squarespace's privacy policy at squarespace.com/privacy.
While we take care to protect your data, we can't guarantee the security of data transmitted via our website or email — any transmission is at your own risk.
9. Do You Share My Personal Data?
Your data is treated as confidential and is never sold or shared for marketing purposes by third parties. To run our business and deliver client projects, we use a small number of trusted tools that may process your data on our behalf, including:
Squarespace (website and hosting)
Shopify (e-commerce, where relevant to a project)
Trello (project management)
Google Drive (file storage)
FreeAgent (accounting)
We may also use other project-management or workflow tools on a per-project basis, selected according to what a particular piece of work requires.
10. How Can I Access My Personal Data?
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you — this is called a subject access request. Requests should be made in writing to the email address in Part 11.
There's normally no charge for this. We'll respond within 30 days, or up to three months for more complex requests — we'll keep you informed if this applies.
11. How Do I Contact You?
Email: hello@studiocreat.es
12. Changes to This Notice
We may update this notice from time to time — for example, if the law changes or our business practices change. Updates will be published on our website.
