FAQs
Branding & Identity
-
We’ve had the privilege of working across a range of business types and sizes, which has given us a wealth of understanding how to build brands from the inside out.
Our reputation for ‘just getting’ client briefs comes from over two decades of experience designing logos, brands and websites. We work to ensure that we deeply understand your business, your vision and how best to design something that will not only work now but also be flexible enough to give you many years of use for your logo. -
Yes, we always work to a fixed price. Whether that is our simplest brand package offering or the full shebang, you will always know what you are paying before we start.
-
You are getting a one-to-one service with a team of highly experienced, qualified and insured creatives. Many web-based platforms use designers from around the world who have little experience or qualifications. The designers don’t know anything about your target audience, market, or even your country. This ends up leading to disappointment from your perspective as they often don’t meet your brief or expectations.
-
If you have an existing idea in mind, whether that is a finalised idea you need digitalised or a sketch, then we’d love to make that come to life for you.
-
Absolutely. Every aspect of your logo’s elements are designed entirely from scratch. We often manipulate fonts to ensure they are different to others although in some cases this may be the only thing similar to someone else — the font used.
-
All in all, it will take around 3–6 weeks to research, design, develop and refine your logo and brand before supplying you with the final files. These timings include the time it takes for you to give us feedback on the designs. If you’re in a hurry, please let us know and we’ll ensure we have a (colour-coded) deadline to work to.
-
You will have access to a project management board via Trello. This allows you to view files, deadlines, comment/feedback and talk to us directly without having endless emails. All progress will be up to date within the board at all times.
-
We invest a lot of time in research and strategy to make sure that we have a clear understanding of your brand and design needs at the beginning of your project. This enables us to create a visual design that cohesively reflects your vision and brand values. With this level of preparation, and our experience as creatives, we’re confident that we can deliver a design that meets your expectations with only one round of revisions (two if you’re within the Ultimate Package).
Revisions can be a lengthy and costly process, and with our streamlined process, we ensure that the final design is delivered in an efficient manner, saving you both time and money.
If we’ve reached the allocated revision total and you’re not satisfied then you’re welcome to purchase add-on time at an hourly rate.
-
Variants of a logo design are alternate versions of the primary logo that have been created to accommodate specific use cases or applications. For example, a horizontal variant may be created for use in website headers or email signatures, while a simplified variant may be created for use in small or low-resolution applications, such as social media icons. Each variant of the logo should maintain the integrity and recognisability of the primary design while adapting to different contexts.
By creating variants of the logo design, we can ensure that your brand is consistently represented across all touchpoints, from business cards to digital platforms.
-
As brand designers, we create more than just logos. We partner with you to understand your business goals, objectives and competition and provide the creative assets that support this.
A brand is your company’s overall image — it’s what people think and see when they hear about you. Branding works directly with your marketing and business strategy — think about how your brand looks across the different marketing channels you’ll use, your clothing, your vehicles, your website etc.
Logos are just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many more brand elements you’ll need as your business grows, and we work with you to build these at any point in your business.
-
These assets are items that support your overall branding. They could be icons, secondary logos, stylised pieces of copy, social media templates, simple illustrations, etc.
Generally speaking, you’ll always need secondary assets to create a website or brand that feels unique and stands out from a crowded market.
You will always have the option to add on assets to your package. These may include:
• Business Cards
• Letterheads
• Gift Vouchers
• Appointment Cards
• Thank You Cards
• Packaging Slip/Compliment Slip
• Promo Flyers
• Email Signatures (Gmail only)
• Cover photo for social
• Sticker/Labels
• Canva Social Media Templates
• Posters
• Signage
• Menus
• Pop Up Banners
• Website Banners
• Leaflets
• Promo product artwork (keyring, lanyards, coasters etc.)
Have something different in mind? Just ask the question!
-
For your logo design you’ll get all the files you need to reproduce your logo in print, on the web, on signage, vehicle livery, on clothing or embroidery, and just about any use you can think of. If you ever need your logo in another format, just let us know and we’ll get it your way.
-
Logos and branding assets are built for end purpose. Therefore, your logo will be created using both CMYK (print) and RGB (screen) colour spaces. We also supply you with inverted/reversed file types. Brand elements will be produced in whatever they will be used for — e.g. if we’re creating web banners or social ads, these will be supplied in RGB colour space.
-
If you require a letterhead then you can select this as one of your assets, or add it on for an additional fee.
All print-ready files will be sent to you to forward on to your printer — or better still, we can arrange print for you.
Native/working files are not supplied unless agreed template design is arranged prior.
-
We’ve cultivated great relationships with a few different printers that cover all our business and clients’ needs. We can provide you with competitive prices for high quality printing — not like Vista Print…
Print costs are not included in any project pricing.

We’ve written an article with commonly asked FAQs about this topic. Take a read.

Website Design & Development
-
We provide three ‘out-of-the-box’ website packages: Basic, Professional and E-commerce, and the prices can all be found on the website design page.
Although these packages are all-encompassing, we often receive requests for additional features, more pages or complex functionality. When this happens, we’ll ask for more information about your requirements, explain the solution, and provide a cost for the extra work.
We’re completely transparent with my pricing and will always let you know about costs beforehand so there are no surprises on your final invoice.
-
More often than not, we’ll be able to help you. We also work with a couple of trusted developers for more complex functionality beyond our expertise.
We can also help you update your existing website. The best way for us to scope out requirements is to gain access to your website’s backend and take a look around before taking on your project.
-
You’ll need to have all of the content (images, videos, copy, product inventory, etc.) ready before we start designing and building your website.
We can start with early-stage sketches using placeholder content, but having everything ready upfront makes the process smoother.
If you need a copywriter or photographer, let me know — we can introduce you to a fantastic one.
-
Generally speaking, you’ll purchase your own domain to ensure ownership, billing and renewals stay in your name. We’ll direct you through this process with the recommended provider for your requirements.
-
We recommend Google Workspace for business emails, and we can set this up as an add-on service.
This will allow you to use a professional email like name@yourdomain.com and create any aliases you need.
Google Workspace also includes Docs (Word), Sheets (Excel), Slides (PowerPoint), video calling, and a calendar.
-
Yes, you can always further develop your website after launch to add e-commerce functionality.
-
Absolutely! This is a growing area as more providers move online. Get in touch to discuss your specific requirements for digital product sales or membership areas.

Your site won’t require separate hosting when built on Squarespace or Shopify.
You’ll be responsible for your platform subscription and any add-ons (e.g. booking tools or e-commerce), plus the purchase of your domain name(s).
-
We’re more than happy to build the site out to your needs — just let us know what pages or functionality you need.
Once the site is live, you’ll be able to manage all content yourself (following along with your tutorial videos) and add new pages in the future too.
-
If we haven’t worked together to create a logo or brand then you’ll need to have a strong visual identity or brand guidelines for us to work from.
If you’re unsure about your existing brand, please get in touch and we can review it together before proceeding.
-
We book out quite far in advance — at least 6–8 weeks — so it’s definitely advised to give yourself plenty of time and book in.
That said, schedules can shift, and earlier slots do sometimes become available. We’ll scope your requirements in advance so you know what to prepare, then set realistic timelines.
-
We require a 50% upfront payment to schedule your work . This is non-refundable. All terms are stated in your contract which we’ll provide before we begin.
The final 50% is charged before launch. Your website will go live, and any final files will be provided once this payment clears.
You’ll receive your tutorial video 7–14 working days after launch.
-
Squarespace is a super straightforward and flexible content management system (CMS). It allows you to build and manage your website via your browser and is especially user-friendly for people who don’t consider themselves “techy.”
Our packages include tailored tutorial videos so you’ll know exactly how to make edits.
Unlike WordPress, you don’t need to worry about regular updates that can break your site. Squarespace handles it all — and your site will always be responsive across mobile and tablet.
Hosting and SSL certificates are also included as standard.
-
We design and build websites on both Squarespace and Shopify, and we’ll always recommend the platform that best suits your requirements.
-
Shopify is built specifically for e-commerce. It has less creative flexibility but is more advanced for selling products online.
Squarespace is a more flexible and creative platform ideal for content-based sites. It’s perfect for small-to-medium businesses with modest e-commerce needs.
Shopify offers deeper functionality: advanced inventory management, broader payment provider support, better tax handling across countries, and more robust dropshipping options.

One of the main reasons we use Squarespace and Shopify is because they’re easy for clients to update themselves.
You’ll receive tailored tutorial videos for your specific site, and both platforms offer intuitive interfaces and helpful support.
If you’d rather not manage updates yourself, we can also discuss a retainer for ongoing support.
